a friend of mine...

A friend of mine has just taken his life;

Leaving behind his son and his Wife;

His mental issues were mostly unseen;

By all of us with he had been;

Looking back, the signs were there;

Did he just think that we didn’t care?;

If he opened his eyes, he would have known;

We were all there to help, we would have shown;

We loved him so very dearly;

He just couldn’t think clearly;

His demons are now gone;

Peace within him has come;

What would he say if he sat here today?;

‘Nothing could be done, so live each day’;

My friend has just suffered and died;

Let’s learn from this, improve our lives;

Mental health is very serious;

It makes your mind quite delirious;

Help is there, you just have to ask;

The professionals can take your demons to task;

Always Talk to each other;

Be there, help one another;

My good friend has taken his life;

We’ll miss him dearly with his son and Wife
